What Will Rifle Bullets Loaded Backwards Do?

When the tail end of a rifle bullet is the front interesting things happen.

The Ammo Channel tries out backward loaded rifle bullets to see what happens.

When some intrepid hunters or soldiers wanted soft point style expanding bullets in times past they pulled out projectiles and flipped them around. The full metal jacket ammunition was now a soft point style projectile for expansion properties.

What will happen when the case volume for powder is changed and the bullet profile now is backward? Will it cause weapons problems? How safe is this?

A .308 rifle was selected for the test. The backward bullets show some major advantages up close in impact as witnessed on the video. On the negative split casing, necks and flattened primers show spikes in pressure. I would not try this at home or anywhere for that matter.
